RECLAIMING CHRISTMAS is woman who struggled with a childhood illness for many years. As a result, she has kept her past - her family, her hometown, her old flame - at arms length because the memories she associates with them are painful. When a colleague gives her a newspaper article about Newberry, Maine, the town where she grew up, she searches for the childhood Christmas journals that she wrote from a hospital bed years ago. Reading them creates a desire to reclaim all the moments she missed out on, the Christmas activities and traditions, but ends up leading her down a path of self-discovery, reconciliation, and love.
