What if I Know?
Being different can be construed a million ways. One of the million, being a freak. Alex is often judged as different, and a freak, not because of his exterior, but because of his ability on the inside to read other people’s minds. Along with the downside of his ability, which leads him to innocently expose the truth of his father’s betrayal, comes misfortune and the inevitable life lessons brought by being different. Everything changes when Alex’s father leaves his family without any explanation. Alex loses his father, his friends and home. However, in his world filled with guilt, pain and unfairness, he still finds love within his sister, his mother and his best friends. This is only one of the many life stories, each as ordinary and extraordinary as every other. Everyone makes mistakes, struggles, rejoices, embraces, grieves, forgives, and seeks love in life. So, does Alex?
I am planning to publish this in several different English speaking countries. But the biggest target would be US, Canada and UK. My target age groups are from teens to mid age. More specifically 20’s.
• Sunset on the front page. Put it in the middle gloriously and impressively. This is the main of all. Make it beautiful, attractive, and inspiring. • I want the book cover to stand out in a simple, but sophisticated way. • My marketing strategy for book cover is that more than a half of the readers buy my book by being inspired by the beautiful sunset. So the sunset should take readers attention at first. • Background is black colour, the sunset is orange, and the book title & the author’s name & book blurb are white. • Simplicity is the key. Keep it in three colours. Adding too much colours is likely to blend in other fancy book covers. I want my book cover to be standout in the rest of the books out there. • Too provide more specific detail, I like the book cover of Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur and Pillow thoughts by Coutney Pepperwill. Simple and classy. But, I want my book to be more standout than those in the bookshelf. In order to accomplish that, I want the main object to be an inspiring orange colour, which is the sunset in this case. So I assume that it would catch more reader’s eyes. Printed book size will be 5’ 8’.
Using more than three colours.
