I am starting a sole practitioner consulting company to serve mid-size (500 people and less), privately owned manufacturing companies.
My services focus on improving business performance. Often I'm called in when companies are struggling...maybe with profitability or perhaps on-time performance or a plant manager needs coaching. If needed, I can also play an interim management role.
My value is the ability to quickly diagnose the underlying cause of the issue, and then help implement quick, practical solutions.
I have a background in many leading manufacturing practices used in larger companies, and I bring those techniques to smaller manufacturers.
The person hiring me is usually the owner of the company They are proud people, and if they are reaching out for consultants, it's because they don't know what else to do. They want to work with someone who is practical, down-to-earth, and gets things done. They have a natural dislike of academics, theoriticians, or 'canned' solutions.
Many of my customers are technical and precise...often engineers by background. Most are in their late 40's into their 60s.
