Hypnosis Downloads.com
The parent company of HypnosisDownloads.com is Uncommon Knowledge (http://www.uncommon-knowledge.co.uk). We are a small focused psychology training company and have been showing people how to use modern, solution focused psychological techniques since 1995. We were the first company to take hypnosis downloads onto the web in 2000.
Although we are still the market leader, we have spawned hundreds of copycat competitors and need to differentiate ourselves clearly in an increasingly commoditized marketplace. Our point of difference is that our downloads are produced by psychology professionals and are based upon sound psychological principles. Many (most?) of our competitions' are not, and some are downright dangerous.
We look after our customers, and communicate with them constantly via email and our facebook group facebook.com/uncommonknowledge We honour our 10% guarantee without question and frequently spend a lot of time helping individuals with their problems. We are in this business because we are passionate about delivering the best help possible, right when people need it most.
People looking for help with psychological problems and help with personal development - usually in the 25-55 age band 50/50 male/female split
(Added: One way to look at this is that this product is something customers 'take', similar to a vitamin pill, or even a pharmaceutical drug. Therefore, the design needs to convey professionalism and trust. Please don't rely on our current site design which we feel is too 'cartoony').
We need a 'template' product image created for our downloads on Hypnosis Downloads .com. Features include:
1) An image related to the download topic. We also need access to a bank of images from which we can choose images for our top 100 downloads. These images will also be used on iTunes. I have considered the possibility of the designer choosing all 100 images, but it is such a tricky thing, I think it would be better if we could do that ourselves. On the other hand, perhaps you might come up with another way of solving the problem... :-)
An example page where the product would be used (potentially twice, large at the top and smaller down by the 'Add to Cart' button is:
http://www.hypnosisdownloads.com/so…y/blushing
2) A generic version that we can use for the other 500 products on which the image does not have to change.
3) The image needs to convey clearly that the product is a download (specifically because customers think otherwise that they are getting a CD).
4. The title of the download, in the above case 'Cool Down Blushing'. Again, we would need to be able to edit the image to create the hundreds of titles (groan!)
We are looking for a different approach to the typical glossy smiling people, that will set our product apart from the dozens of copycats out there (for an example, see instant-hypnosis .com)
