Telular Corporation, Telguard Digital Product Line, http://www.telular.com
Telular Corporation designs, develops, manufactures and markets Fixed Cellular products that enable a standard telephone, fax, computer or security alarm system to operate wirelessly over the cellular network for either primary or back-up communications. Based on its proprietary RJ-11-to-Cellular interface technologies, Telular provides the capability to connect landline telephone equipment with cellular-type transceivers used in wireless communication networks in the Cellular and PCS frequency bands. The principal product lines, TELGUARD®, Wi-PATH®, and PHONECELL® allow traditional wireline networks to send and receive voice, data, and facsimile signals over wireless networks using standard telephony technology.
Telular’s product lines incorporate the world’s leading cellular standards (GSM, CDMA) and are marketed worldwide. Headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, Telular has an R&D Center in Atlanta, Georgia and regional sales and technical support offices in Atlanta, and Miami.
Telular Corporation was founded in 1986 and went public in 1994. Its stock is traded on the NASDAQ under the symbol “WRLS.”
These icons will appear on sales brochures that are used as sales tools for our product's sales people. They are typically people that are younger than 40 yrs old. However, their bosses are typically older than that and so the icons should be clear to them.
They will hopefully be introduced to these symbols through video and written training. After this they will be given cheat sheet notepads that will only have the symbols on them in case a homeowner receives the notepad. We don't what the homeowner to immediately recognize that the notepads have an ideal customer profile located at the bottom. They sales people will just put a mark on the symbol to indicate that the homeowner meets that requirement.
The icons will initially be accompanied by a text description, but they will then appear on other materials by themselves so they should be immediately recognizable once introduced with a quick discussion.
They will represent a set of key "markers" that--if a household possesses them--greatly improved the chances of upselling our product.
They include:
* Do they have a home phone line or are they planning on going Cellular only (i.e., disconnecting the traditional phone line)
* A household income of >$50K
* Kids in the household
* The homeowner is employee in a management position, as a professional (doctor, lawyer, etc.) or in a white coller job.
* Have they attended some level of college (graduation not necessary)
* They own the home
* They are younger than 60 years old.
A video will be made introducing the sales tool and our website may also leverage the icons, so they should be suitable for each purpose. The video will be hosted by Vimeo.com.
They icons should be professional (not cartoonish), leverage our corporate colors (http://www.telular.com), and be recognizable in monochrome. Exceeding "Web 2.0" look and feel is discouraged, but will not be immediately ruled out. Our general look and feel involves hexagons (a key part of our logos), but these symbols need not heavily leverage this element.
Vector art is required for lossless rescaling.
