N/A ("Stand Right, Walk Left")
We are a group of student involved with student government at a prominent US business school. The main method of internal circulation at our school is a set of 4-story escalators, which are constantly clogged, and impassable when students are in a hurry to class. For fun, we're implementing a "Stand Right, Walk Left" campaign to encourage the type of etiquette held dear by, for example, Metro transit riders in DC, to improve circulation between classes...and to undertake a ridiculous social experiment. Ultimately, the goal is that those that aren't in a rush, or that are simply taking their time, would stand to the right of the escalator stairs, so that those in a rush could advance up and down the escalators to the right - like a passing lane.
We want to have fun with this campaign, but we want it to be highly legible, and in turn, successful, at change the escalator-riding habits of our fellow students.
Undergraduate and graduate business school students. When conceiving the target, though, there's not need to overplay the business aspect (unless you find some truly hysterical use for incorporating it). At the end of the day, the targets are 18-32 year olds, members of both sexes, quite cosmopolitan and diverse, very funny, and very socially aware.
The image in an of itself should be powerful enough to make clear our request that, as a matter of practice, people stand right, and walk left on the escalator. We need vector-based illustrator graphics for use on bumper stickers that will be handed out at the escalators and at parties over a 1 week campaign. The image may also be made into t-shirts or other swag. The image should be fun or funny, can be simple (using stick figures or restroom logo-style people), and should be easily converted (or native) to black and white + 1 color (though depending on the design, we might accept the added cost of printing for a more colorful, legible image).
Please help us make a meaningful change in the efficiency of our school!!
