GrillGrrrl- Adventures of a Girl on the Grill (www.grillgrrrl.com)- have been featured in the Sun Sentinel, Foodography
Hi, my name is Robyn and I'm the Grill Girl behind GrillGrrrl.com. I'm looking for an update to my wordpress theme that depicts my personality, cooking style and locality- Tropical South Florida. I'm very fun, laid back and my recipes are a reflection of easy-going gourmet on the grill.
I would like to update my wordpress theme using my logo and if possible, some snippet of the nautical map I used as the background header in my current theme. (the map is of Biscayne Bay, where I take my sailboat).
My favorite color is teal and it is the current background color of my blog. I am not sure if this is a gender neutral color and would like to "air out" my blog and make it fresh and clean looking. Grillgrrrl 2.0 but with the same feel! :)
Perhaps the idea I'm going for is like a streamlined artdeco beach hotel or a hammock in the backyard. Like a funky spa on the beach with really awesome; healthy food and killer margaritas!
Men who like to grill
Women looking for easy grilling recipes
New foodies looking to experiment
Anyone who likes to cook - I"m hoping they will feel relaxed, refreshed and inspired when they come to the site!
Please use existing logo and backdrop/header if possible. I'm open for seeing different designs without the nautical map background as well. I do think the nautical map is a cool idea and would be neat incorporated somewhere...
I'd like the site design to be more interactive, less bloggish looking. For example, if I could have the daily recipe PLUS other places holders for grilling info without it reading so top to bottom that would be great.
A placeholder on the front with a more interactive "about me" part that leads to the other page...
Ideally, I'd like the theme to enable the site to be more interactive with more placeholders for new content versus just one recipe stacked on top of another.
There need to be placeholders for people to interact follow me on twitter/facebook/subscribe via rss...(standard stuff)
I don't like masculine looking, blocky fonts. I like serifed fonts but am open depending on what vibe you are getting.
