Working as a professional senior application developer with professional interests in artificial intelligence, social media, search engine optimisation, web development, Linux and open source software.
At 22 years old, I enjoying writing articles on subjects that intellectually interest and inspire me. Most of the articles are discussion based and written to encourage a response and are 'edgy' within their respective fields.
This is a site targeted at people interested in artificial intelligence, social media, search engine optimisation, web development, Linux, open source software and other technical, thought-provoking topics. Most traffic to the site currently comes to the Linux and open source related posts.
The site also acts (or will act) as a form of professional portfolio. Place-holder sections currently exist on the site for a bibliography, skills/experience section and a showcase of projects I'm currently working on.
I am looking for a new Wordpress design for http://jordanhall.co.uk/ to replace the current popular free theme that is in use.
I would like a design creating that is bold, whilst remaining somewhat professional in appearance. It should attempt to give a good and hopefully distinct first impression. For the most part, the post content should be made the main focus of the page.
I would like the site to give the impression of a new, well-rounded and knowledgeable computing professional with strong opinions on a variety of the discussed topics.
Please feel free to experiment with significantly different layout/colours, and feel free to take textual context from the live site to use within the design.
Other portfolio style website I like, and why:
* http://www.rikcatindustries.com/ for the bold simplicity and focus on content
* http://www.jasonreedwebdesign.com/ for the smart-casual appearance
* http://www.alessandro-cavallo.de/ for the interesting, almost Twitter-like colourings and interesting layout
* http://www.finchleywebdesign.co.uk/ for the bold focus on the centralised content
* Flattened - PNG format
* Layered - PSD or XCF format (XCF format preferred, but not required)
