We are legal cannabis growers and wholesalers in Southern Oregon. We grow high quality cannabis flower ("flower" is the new term used these days for "pot, or bud, or weed" and so forth). We provide dispensaries with perfectly trimmed "flower," ready for public consumption, and, we also provide pre-packaged products such as pre-rolled joints packs of 5, 7, and 10... Pre-Rolls are also sold as singles as well.
PLEASE NOTE - I realize that the you guys see the same "Design Inspiration Samples" all the time, so I provided detailed notes to each one about what we like and don't like, and, you'll find some good design direction in those comments as well. I also provided more nuanced design direction about our company, who we are, and what we're about in the "Additional Notes Section" at the bottom of this brief. Altogether, I hope you find the information provided to be plentiful and helpful to your creative process. I look forard to seeing your ideas. :-)
Like the idea of possibly using a unique, professionally designed piece of vector art as a key component to the Top Shelf Gardens Brand
Like the natural and organic feel to this; something like it *might* work well for the Top Shelf Gardens Brand... and the fact that it looks like an official stamp / label is cool too.
This brand example with the Condor feels like it's representing something of quality, and we like the idea of possibly integrating background artwork like this into the official Top Shelf Logo Brand
This is a bit too feminine but something like this might work a cannabis brand; remember our target audience is broad, so don't go too feminine or too masculine either.
Something abstract yet relevant meets something specific and appropriate for the brand... that's what we like about this sample.
Classic feel. Simple. Professional. This one is perhaps a bit too "cartoonish" for our taste but it's got a nice branded feel.
A specially chosen, stylish font that creates a unique branded feel for Top Shelf Gardens is important to us. It could be solo, but we'll more than likely choose a logo that has both great artwork and font choices blended professionally to create the Top Shelf Gardens Brand
This one has a great layout, nice artwork and well balanced, the font is unique and stylish, great supporting background imagery. NOTE: don't use background photography just to make the logo look better. Only present background art with your submissions if it's intended to be used as part of the official logo/brand for Top Shelf Gardens
Clever. Simple. Pro. Nice work this. Because we're growers with the word GARDENS in our name, I feel like we might need something more elaborate than this design, unless you surprise us. :-) But what we like most about this is one is the creative thought that went into this artwork. The professional relevance that it conveys about the company is ingenious. We like this kind of thinking.
A classic brand look and feel with detailed artwork that is unpretentious might work very well for the Top Shelf Gardens Brand
The products we're producing are high quality, grown by talented people with a great deal of experience. However we do not wish to come across as pretentious. Now that cannabis is legal in our state, for both medical and recreational use, our target audience is very broad. Customers of all ages, backgrounds, and lifestyles are buying recreational cannabis now. Note that the fastest growing group within our customer base is 40-year-olds and up, but, please do not target your design ideas on an older audience only. The brand does need to appeal to a broad demographic. It needs to be hip and cool enough for the younger folks to like, and it needs to be elegant and tasteful enough for the older folks to like. We do not wish to be "too rock-n-roll" and we do not wish to be "too pretentious." The name "Top Shelf Gardens" was chosen because we're very confident in our growing abilities and proud of the quality of our products. So let your design ideas reflect that, i.e., the magicical feeling one gets when looking over a vast garden of high quality cannabis plants, the plant itself, its leaf and flower... Also, we’d love to see artwork that reflects the *passion of inspired cannabis growers* and the pride we feel by delivering a high quality product to the community in which we live.
