Solstice Outdoors is a specialty outdoor retail store that provides quality outdoor clothing, gear and accessories for an active lifestyle in the Lake Superior region. We carry core outdoor lifestyle brands, apparel and gear, as well as outdoorsy, eco-friendly, boutique style accessories. We want a logo design that represents our core values: quality, sustainability and community and incorporates the concept of two Solstices. Our name, Solstice Outdoors, represents two seasonal solstices; summer when the sun is in the northern most peak and it’s the longest day of the year and winter when it’s farthest south and it’s the shortest day of the year. The logo should be organic, fun and evoke energy.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Our target customers are primarily women and men ages 18-60. We anticipate serving a wide spectrum of customers from earthy college students, active outdoor enthusiasts to middle aged women and men who like the “outdoorsy” look. We don't want a generic logo, but it should appeal to a diverse audience.
Ideally, we’d like the design to play off the summer and winter solstice concept, but nothing too celestial. Here are some things to think about:
Potential tag line is “Do more. Be more. It’s good for the soul.” Please consider this idea in the design, but do not incorporate the text into the logo.
