AGAINST THE ODDS
Against The Odds is a new charity aiming to assist young people from disadvantaged backgrounds - helping them reach their full potential.
*Breakfast Clubs for children aged between 5-12.
*Mentor Programs for 'at risk' teens.
*Performing Arts Programs for students in low socioeconomic areas and Juvenile Justice Centres across NSW.
*Humane Education Programs - breaking the Cycle of Violence through humane education programs, events and campaigns.
We are a young team of people - energetic, positive, flamboyant - with a bit of street cred.
We work with a large number of celebrities - including P!NK..
Although we operate under strict business/charity guidelines, our programs are attitudes-based - in that we try to get away from the 'authoritative' role, and help young people make informed choices for their future without forcing them to comply to a regimented approach. We believe that every person deserves a chance - and intend to aid young people at risk - and those that have already found themselves in Juvenile Justice.
We also promote humane values around the treatment of animals - they play a large role in our programs that promote empathy and respect for all living things - including people and the environment.
Target Audience is quite broad.
On one level, we need to appeal to young people - particularly the children and youths from disadvantaged backgrounds - youths that may have broken the law etc.
General public - corporate sponsors, celebrities, media, and schools.
The sub-text options for under the logo include:
'Paving the way for a brighter future'..
'Helping young people reach their full potential'..
'Promoting kindness and respect'...
Designers can incorporate any of these quotes in the logo design - but we will also require options that contain the logo ONLY as well.
We need a logo that we can print on jumpers, hoodies, baseball caps, banners for events etc. Many of our big events will be linked to the performing arts - breakdancing, hip hop, singing etc..
We are appealing to a market that spans from children, to teens, to celebrities, to corporate sponsors. In saying that, the school aged children and teens are the main groups we are appealing to in terms of the logo - they will be the group that will most likely wear the logo on merchandise.
Bold Statement.. FUN. positive. strong. determined.
Utilise the concept - AGAINST THE ODDS *there may be a symbolic element incorporated within the logo..
Format: Need logo created with black background, white background and transparent.
