My partner and I are 5 to 7 years out of law school and just started a law firm. We specialize in courtroom trial advocacy. We are young and hungry and have a unique approach to our craft. Specifically, we only want a limited number of cases at any given time so that our clients get the personal attention they deserve (something that is really lacking in this business). We prefer to wear jeans and flip flops to work, unless of course we have to stand before "the man" on behalf of our clients. When we are not in the office we are busy camping, fishing, hiking and enjoying this awesome place we call home. In short, we are not your typical "suits" but we do have a passion for our craft, our clients and life in general.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are trial attorneys that strictly represent plaintiffs (those that have been kicked around, injured or just plain taken advantage of). Our goal is to give a voice to those that need to be heard.
Essentially, our clients come to us from diverse backgrounds in times of need. Most of the time new clients come from referrals from family, friends and former clients. However, a referral alone does not get the job done. First impressions are crucial. From the moment they see our logo, potential clients will begin to draw conclusions as to our abilities. To this end, we want to attract everyone and anyone who is in need of good trial lawyers.
We are looking for something unique. No scales of justice or pictures of the courthouse. We are looking for a logo that uses a cool font and captures the essence of who we are as described above. We are aggressive trial attorneys but we truly value our clients (NO BS). We value them as people and care a great deal about the troubles they are facing. If you look at most law firm websites, you will note that logos are non existent. Typically, it's simply the last name of a group of people and that is it. We are wide open and looking for creativity here. We would like to be unique but yet maintain the professionalism that is expected of a good lawyer. Obviously the name of our firm, Slocum & Lang, P.C., is the centerpiece but we are wide open as to how the name is designed and open to any graphic design that will compliment our name and make us stand out. Good luck and thanks so much in advance for your efforts.
