This Is The Best Of
I'm called Alex and he's called Dan. Together we've started our own little web company called DANDA digital (Dan AND Alex = danda). We've done this because we love to create new niche web experiences and we're designing them to inspire people.
The first of these is This Is The Best Of, which aims to serve up the latest headlines from around the web, split into clearly defined categories and displayed in a simple clean interface.
We've attached a mock of the site, along with this brief.
We're targeting people who live and breath the net, who are influencers, creators and pop culture addicts.
We want THIS IS THE BEST OF, to appeal to the people who use yayeveryday.com, Tumblr, BuzzFeed, Huffington Post, FFFFOUND!, 9gag, textsfromlastnight and fmylife.
We're targeting people who use Vimeo over YouTube and whom prefer StumbleUpon to Google Reader.
We want to appeal to individuals who want an experience on the web - not just a destination.
We've attached some images to help serve as a guide. It's all about the letters and the font, we're not overly keen on needing an illustration. Logo should be in the same font type, either all lowercase or all upper case.
We'd like the logo to be a vector, so we can potentially use it for print and media - or at the very least, easy for people to recreate. Bold block colours are good, again please see our attached file.
We realise that THIS IS THE BEST OF is a lot of letters, but you can have fun with it. You could shorten it to THIS THE BEST OF and highlight maybe the "IS" to give the logo a unique twist.
Think bright, clean, creative, snappy, impact, irreverent.
