Wib Wab Web
ArrowQuick Solutions is a web development company specializing in custom websites for small to medium businesses. The Wib Wab Web software-as-service is a product we are creating to reach a new segment of businesses that don’t have the funds or need for a custom programmed website. We will fill that need by allowing the end user to easily set up and administer their own website through the Wib Wab Web interface.
Wib Wab Web targets small businesses, often newly-minted and consisting of no more than a few employees. They want an inexpensive website solution that gives them a simple web presence. Most business owners are too busy or too disorganized to spend a lot of time on their sites and manage a lot of communication from us. They are not wizards with computers but know their ways around common programs like Word. They need a high level of support. They are sensitive to price but mainly want a good value for their money.
We are looking for a logo represent our web development company – Wib Wab Web.
We want to create an identity that is whimsical yet professional. Some other adjectives that come to mind are: fun, bright, eccentric, imagination, creativity.
Something like an eccentric character/monster wearing a business suit (or business casual) might fit. We don't want to seem non-business (too goofy).
1.The Wib Wab Web name can be incorporated but not necessarily attached to the character. This way we can detach the character icon/avatar and use it by itself. It should have the focus.
2.We don’t want it to look too realistic (We are thinking something flat shaded, comic style something like twitter birds).
3.Avoid looking similar to trademarked icons…obviously. We’ve seen some avatars that are too closely like Domo (Japanese NHK mascot). But, something along those lines.
4.We sort of fit into the Web 2.0 market, so something consistent with other Web 2.0 companies (37 Signals, Squarespace, etc) may work.
Here are examples of art styles and creatures that we like as a starting point:
