Ivybird
Ivybird energy is a start-up specializing in the installation of small scale wind turbines. There is a branch of the business that designs and sells eco-scooters (electric scooters).
The logo needs to work for both branches of the business.
The idea of having Ivybird as a name is beacuse Ivy is a plant - green (eco friendly) and bird is soaring in the air, wind turbines use air like birds do. I find turbines elegant and beautiful as I do birds in flight and wanted to use aspects of a turbine shape and birds in flight within the logo. we are also selling electric motorbikes that are eco friendly and the Ivybird works with this too in the easy rider, triumph thunderbird sport way!
Target market:
1. Landowners
The Wind turbines we sell are aimed at people who have enough money and land to install one. ABC1 demographic, environmentally conscious.
2. 18- 35 yr olds Eco-scooter buyers.
Young professionals, city dwellers, commuting to work, want a greener hassle free way to do it avoiding public transport. Environmentally conscious.
Logo to have both:
'Ivybird' in text and a graphic.
It needs to work with other words it but also on its own.
For example we will have
Ivybird Energy
Ivybird Eco-motion
Ivybird Holdings
That kind of thing, like the Virgin brand works with lots of different companies.
When I was scribbling on a fag packet I was trying too use the shape of the blades of a wind turbine to make a bird shape too, that looked a bit like Ivy and gave the impression of motion and the tail of the bird was long and went underneath the 'Ivybird' text a bit.
Inspirational words are:
Soaring birds
Elegant
Wind turbine
Dynamic
Fast
Green / ivy / nature
The text wants to be clean and striking but not bold and brash. So no swirly fonts and no big bold lettering.
Colour scheme:
havent really decided what.
Obvious one is green but a bit boring so you can experiment. Would like it to work in Black and White as well as colour, so it will work carved into something or as a stamp.
Good luck!
