*The main signage for Brick Gables (banquet and bakery facility) will be 6'x 10' on both sides of the silo.
Country Home Catering Inc has been doing business for the last 25 years originating out of their house. Dean and Carol continued to expand the business along with their menu. Seven years ago they purchased Minnich’s Farm Bakery diversifying the company. In the last five years Dean , Carol, and Brandon have communicated the importance of purchasing a catering facility with a retail store. Through searching for the perfect property, it seemed at though an old barn would fit the characteristics of the Ziegler’s and Country Home Catering. Within the last year, Dean and Carol have found and purchased the Barn at Newport Commons. The barn at Newport Commons(Brick Gables) will host events in the top part of the reconstructed barn while the bottom section will consist of a retail, bakery, and cafe. The Two businesses will share the kitchen space.
Brick Gables (the barn) will host Country Home Catering Inc. and Zig’s Bakery & Deli LLC . Both businesses will continue to keep their identities while offering some new foods within the new barn. The barn name/logo will reflect Zig’s and Country Home’s basic vision which is making great country cuisine, served hot, with perfect service.
Country Home Catering will be able to offer full service catering to their customers. The barn will also be able to host wedding ceremonies with an outdoor patio or the adjacent grass lawn.
Zig’s Bakery will continue their business from Green Acre Road but now expand its product line. The bakery will be open six days a week, serve fresh Whiff Roasters coffee and espresso, offer dine in seating with soups, sandwiches, and salads.
The bottom part of the barn will feature the bakery/café. It will have a industrial country feel, nicely done. The floor will be a ground with a finish and the lighting would be old metal farm lights with studio lighting highlighting the bakery, some of the brick walls.
