Owebot.com
We are two Boston-based partners looking for a logo for our new online company. Owebot helps people trade and track serious and non-serious IOUs on the web and on social networks via an intuitive point-and-click gaming-style platform. We envision a fun and functional site with lots of user interaction and an accompanying Facebook and mobile app, as well as potential apps for other social networks, so follow on work is a real possibility if we like the look and feel of what you create.
Our audience ranges from young teens to adults. They are computer proficient and generally on social networks like Twitter and Facebook. They are social and like to have fun but many also tend to be organized and thoughtful. They don't want to be lumped in with the Farmville crowd or feel like they're playing a kids game, but they don't want to feel like they're on LinkedIn either. They want to be able to exchange IOUs for a hug, $20 or a martini via our site with equal comfort, and send something viral that will catch their friends' eyes without making them feel too old or young, formal or informal.
We like bright colors and are open to any and all capitalization options. We want something relatively simple that stands out, that people will see and say "Hey, that's nice," and that evokes fun, social interaction, and modernity (given the "bot" in the name). We want something that matches and evokes our brand (Owebot and http://www.owebot.com). It needs to feel like consumer-facing Internet, but also like you'd trust it to track cash and noncash IOUs. We expect to have tie-ins to a wide variety of corporate partners, so professionalism is a must, but we don't want anything that's too futuristic, heavy, unfriendly or cold. We don't want to specifically evoke money as that won't be the subject of most IOUs. Since we will be launching on multiple platforms, we want something that can look good small or large and preferably that can be shrunk or abbreviated well (ob or OB?) for web address icons and other uses. Other than that, you are free to be creative! Please do not use any stock images or clip art in the logo.
Whether or not we choose your design, we welcome and appreciate your work. If you make a logo for us we'll invite you to our beta regardless of which one we pick. We have big aspirations - we want to see ourselves here someday: http://www.logosauce.com/uploads/web2_logos.jpg and we'd love your help. Thank you designers!
