Center for Global Leadership (CGL) - http://www.LeadGlobally.org
We are a global nonprofit NGO - training, mentoring, and funding our planet's young social entrepreneurs and environmental stewards. We partner with inspired young people, creating a global "ripple effect" to change the way our world works.
We run our programs in places with mountains, rivers, and oceans. Could be woven into the design.
Our ripple effect. A water ripple may make sense in the design.
True North... We try to help young people find their individual and unique path in life. Perhaps a creative version of a compass might work as well.
Primary audience is inspired young people, ages 13 to 25 years of age. Young people who want to make a difference in this world (whether that difference is local or global). These young people love adventure, eco-travel, the environment, eradicating poverty, and helping those in need. We are currently being followed by people from 116 countries.
Secondary audiences are corporate sponsors and global foundations (we are a nonprofit and need their financial support for our work).
Feel... Fast, Fun, Adventure, Inspired, Global, Outdoors, Active, Engaged, Connected, Young.
We do not plan on using "Center for Global Leadership" in the text for the logo.
Logo text will be "CGL". May incorporate "CGL" into the logo itself or logo may be stand-alone next to "CGL".
Logo needs to be clean and simple for embroidery on shirts, jackets, backpacks, tents, etc. In short, easily stitched design is imperative.
Logo will also be used on website, stationary, and print materials.
Logo needs to be equally effective in color and black & white (perhaps only one color). Since the environment is one of our passions, "green" may be an ideal color (probably not extremely dark green.)
Do not want logos with people holding hands around the globe look.
Final product will be both camera-ready vector files (eps) and jpeg.
Just added - additional feedback for designers. I don't want to limit creativity, but I felt like I was giving the same feedback to designers. Perhaps the following will help provide a picture of our organization.
We run our programs in places with mountains, rivers, and oceans. Incorporating those features into design may make sense.
Ripple effect... Water ripple in pond may make sense.
True North... We try to help young people find their individual path in life. Perhaps some version of a compass might work.
