We're a new phone company that only serves small businesses. Our focus on small businesses makes us different from most of the big phone companies who primarily target young consumers. All of our phones come with specific features and services that small businesses need.
We need a logo/badge/stamp/emblem/etc. We would like to look at this two ways:
-- 1) By itself
-- 2) Integrated with our brand name as a tagline or otherwise. In this version, you can use our existing logo, or create a new one which works better integrated with the tag line.
PLEASE NOTE: As one use will be on the website in the header, it should work down to 50 pixels high.
Target market – The Modern businessperson:
We have built our product to serve the needs of small businesses. These are 2-50 person companies. As these are businesses and not normal consumers. Unfortunately, the phrase can give a connotation of a service in the old sense of the term. This is unintended. While some of our customers are in fact lawyers and accountants, many of our customers come from blue collar or gray collar industries, in addition to white collar ones. Quite a few of our customers are people who work in the field, such as IT consultants, healthcare professionals, real estate agents, architects, contractors, plumbers, small retail business owners and restauranteurs. The challenge lies in finding iconography that represents this person in the postmodern-internet-era-telecommuting-service-economy sense of the term. Classic imagery of a banker in a 3-piece suit will not appeal to the majority of our diverse user base. At the same time, we do not want to go too far in the other direction with overly youth-oriented consumer tonality, as this would not adequately differentiate us from our competitors.
Today’s smartphones are really miniature computers, and we need to make sure that our brand feels technologically advanced (plus professional). Think Goldman Sachs meets the Matrix.
