We're looking for a company logo/corporate identity, something that will go on our website, powerpoint presentation, business cards, and so on. It needs to be professional, clean and memorable. Ideally, we'd like a combination of an icon and a distinct wordmark, both of which we'd like to trademark.
The logo must be able to be on powerpoint documents and sites of virtually any background so avoid Black or Really Dark Blue.
One idea we have (and we have had some good designs that did not use this) was to play around with the "V" in "Verious" rather than having a separate icon and wordmark. We would like to see examples of both.
Also, colors would be very conservative--blues, silvers, maroons--rather than neons and "game-oriented" colors.
Please refrain from (avoid) designs that look too much like space ships or game packaging (XBOX, etc).
Here are some designs we like:
Verisign - http://venturebeat.com/2010/07/09/c…n-dispute/
Microsoft - http://www.microsoft.com/en/au/default.aspx
Oracle - http://phandroid.com/2010/11/01/ora…java-code/
The logo must incorporate the letters "TM" - trademark.
We'd prefer bold, sturdy, easy-to-read - think something an engineer would like.
We would like print file format (.ai) and web file format (.jpg or .psd).
