Wild Oats and Billy Goats
A newly married husband and wife team are opening a fok art gallery together (with their newly merged family of 3 boys) in Decatur GA. We are both professionals in other industries (event management and software sales), but have a passion for bringing folk are to our community as an additional business.
Decatur is a artsy and cultured walking community on the outskirts of Atlanta, where families with school aged children, university professors, doctors and other professionals live and work. It is hip, colorful, and open minded. Our store is located right on the charming square that hosts many restarants, shops and salons in older brick buildings that cater to a 30-55 age range. We will be selling folk art and funky jewelry, pottery, glass, gifts and some furniture...and even some art by local children.
Our initial thought is a billy goat with oats haging out of his mouth...but please be creative, clean and simple. He needs to say "this is a fun, hip place, come in and hang out." The logo will be used on the store window, business cards, labels on retail packaging, and in marketing pieces.
