A third generation jeweler wants to portray integrity, elegance and professionalism through a logo based on the family last name. Think Cartier, Tiffany, Bulgari etc. These were all started by individual families.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
The company consists of the individual owner, Michael Kanners. The service provided is very high-end, private and discrete. The jewelry sold is always unique and of the finest quality. The product mixture is of rare vintage pieces and uniquely designed contemporary pieces. Custom work is a defining aspect as well. Style is more conservative rather than extremely modern. Clientele is older rather than younger. Clients are in USA and Western Europe. The company is based in both the USA (New York and Miami) and Italy.
The logo must express:
- Style, elegance, class and European flair
- Integrity and history (3rd generation)
- High qualityI will eliminate designs in order to reduce clutter. Don't be offended, it just makes things more effiecient for me to go through the designs and give as much feedback as possible.
I would like a 3 part design consisting of an icon, the name Kanners and a tag line. Kanners should be central with the tag line being below and smaller. My thoughts are Kanners in an elegant script and the tag line in a smaller font. The tag line that I would like is "Jewelers since 1927". The icon can be on top or to one side.
The company uses a deep bordeaux color for packaging and print. I would like to keep this. The Pantone color most similar is PMS 202.
Must be in vector format and must work in black and white and color.
Before using another color, I would like to see the designs on a white background.
These are my thoughts, however I am obviously here to explore your creativity.
I don't want an icon that looks like a diamond or a piece of jewelry. The icon can be abstract and here I am open to many different ideas.
