“Ssam BBQ” will be a fast casual style restaurant focused on Korean BBQ with the first site located in New York City.
All food will be prepared to order with an open kitchen so customers are able to see the process. Expected customer demographic will be young (20-35) single professional’s living in and visiting the local area.
Ssam BBQ aims to deliver a new style of Korean BBQ cuisine to New York in a way not seen before from a restaurant. The focus will be on marinated Korean meats (beef and pork primarily) served in various quick and easy methods such as lettuce and rice paper wraps.
The plan is to open additional sites in 2015 and form a brand/chain that can be replicated in a number of cities across the US.
The restaurant style is fast, easy and fresh food (similar to Chipotle). The food type itself is healthy, Asian (Korean) food with the focus being on the marinated meats served in a quick and easy way (lettuce wraps as well as others), so possibly the logo could try to incorporate this style of serving (photo of the type of wrap is attached).
The area of NY the first site will open is a fairly hip neighborhood with a young professional demographic (20 - 35), so the logo should appeal to this type of person.
