Fort Erie Race Track is celebrating their 116th season of live thoroughbred horse racing. The historic track is one of the most beautiful in North America. Unfortunatly, the site is slated for closure on December 31st, 2012 because of Ontario Government cutbacks. The officials are busy creating a long term business plan which would see the site continue to grow as an racing and entertainment facility over the next 3 years. This logo must indicate that the track is alive and vibrant for years to come....that we have succeeded in continuing operations by "kicking" and screaming. We would like this to have some humour as compared to our logo for 2012 which celebrated our 115th anniversary.
Basically, have fun with it. Make it have some humour but get the point accross that we have come together as a community to bring our racetrack back from the ashes. That we were considered to be dead and gone but have come back stronger.....therefore ALIVE and KICKING
