The Backyard Burger Bar is a start-up niche restaurant concept specializing in creative and gourmet hamburgers. The Backyard will be focussed on doing one thing very well by offering a limited menu of gourmet hamburgers. Backyard Burgers’ vision is to provide a relaxed dining experience while offering food that challenges the traditional idea of a hamburger using the delicious patty as a launching pad more so than the destination.

Fresh Grou Cross-Rib Burger stuffed with Applewood smoked cheddar, Applewood smoked bacon, coated in apple butter and topped with fresh slice of apple, red onion and arugula on a sour dough bun.
Backyard’s target market is mainly men and women between the ages of 18-35 that are seeking a dynamic trend-set food experience. It will attempt to appeal to Halifax’s urban environment: foodie’s, university students, business workers, hipsters, downtown late-night food demand.
Decor in the restaurant will be quirky. House picklets will be complimentary and the restaurant decor will feature a large pickle aquarium. Cat grass will be set in to give a subtle backyard feeling. The idea of the backyard is meant to be almost ironic in that these burgers aren't at all what you would find there but we want you to feel that you are there.
