I am a private practice dietitian with expertise in the areas of weight management, sports nutrition, gastrointestinal disorders, diabetes, and food allergy. Whether it's managing a disease or improving a triathlon time, I want to empower my clients to really "seize the day" and learn how to consistently make sound nutrition choices to achieve balance in mind and body for a lifetime.
My practice is in Hershey, PA. Target clients are both male and female (likely more female) who would like to improve nutritional well being. I have experience with both adult and pediatric clients. It seems to me that people in central PA have access to knowledge about nutrition, but have trouble applying it to their everyday life consistently. My practice will guide and motivate them to do that. On a personal note, aside from being a dietitian and mother, I am an avid yogi and will be incorporating yogic principals into my nutrition practice. Namely, being present in the moment and eating and living mindfully. I focus on fresh, seasonal food as much as possible, moving away from dependance on highly processed foods. I also love the Virginia Wolf quote, " One cannot live well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well." It's certainly not necessary to include, but just thought I'd add it to give you an idea of my philosophy.
