Next year, the German Wine Institute will launch its project “Höhepunkte der Weinkultur” (Landmarks of Wine Culture). The aim is to choose 52 sights in Germany’s wine-growing regions and to promote them as landmarks for Germany’s viticulture and as favourite destinations for wine-tourists. These 52 wine-highlights will all receive the title “Höhepunkt der Weinkultur” and they will be allowed to use the official logo in all their printing material and ideally even at the landmark itself in the form of a plaque. The logo will also be used in wine-guides, brochures, on the internet, in the German wine atlas, etc.
The logo has to bear the term “Höhepunkt der Weinkultur” and has to allude to (German) wine, to wine-culture and ideally (optional) also to Germany as a country. The logo should have a very modern appeal and should not be overly traditional when it comes to wine-imagery (old-fashioned wine glasses and the like).
Ideally the logo also works in a very small printed version, e.g. in an atlas or a map, and it could even be used on a rubber stamp.
