We got tired of being gouged by the big Telco's for using our iPhones on their data network we decided to fix it. The concept is to allow users to connect you our hotspots for free. In itself this is not a new concept but we have a key twist- More details to follow.
This network will not be city or region specific. Users and hotspot providers can set it up anywhere in the world.
The <<Freebee>> is abviously a play on words which creates a big branding opportunity.
Our audience is mostly individuals from 15 to 35, but design has to also be acceptable to 40-45. It has to appeal to individuals who have iPhones, iPod Touches, Personal BlackBerries, as well as laptops. These people use those devices via existing telco's data network and are sick of paying too much.
We like hip, crisp simple designs which can be branded. It should not have more than 2-3 colors as it will have to be used not only in a web 2.0 website (contest to come following the logo) but will also appear in our mobile theme (when users access our hotspots via a PDA.
We expect the web site to be simple, with lots of white in the background. Your choice of colors will be a key component to the website design, so make sure it is versatile and that these colors will do the trick.
The branded logo will also be used in a store signage to promote the free wifi service in public spaces.
Obviously the bee or freebee should be portrayed, as well as <<WIFI>>
