RDP Streamline Solutions
I'm Angel Abundez and I'm starting a new Business Intelligence company called RDP Streamline Solutions. It's been a dream of mine for 8 years to start my own business ever since I created my first data-driven website using PHP and MySQL on a Linux server. I've worked as a Project Engineer most of my career in various industries, but most recently in 2007 was given the opportunity to work in Project Controls which led me to the world of Report design, Accounting Software, ETL, and Data Warehouses. I was not a stranger to databases having experience using Access and MySQL, but my eyes were opened... wide-opened when I saw my first Trigger, Stored Procedure, and Table variable using SQL Server 2005.
So here I am, creating a brand that people will see me, my company, one that partners with customers, not with vendors, to create solutions. After all, who better to know what works for their business besides the business owners themselves? Why sell Enterprise Software when an SMB may not be leveraging software they've already put significant investment into.
Other tidbits about me:
I play Veracruz harp. I toured Mexico with a band called Los Cenzontles.
I have 3 children, Angel Jr (13), Lisette (6), and David (3) and have been married for 8 years to my wife Jessica.
I play XBox 360 (gamertag Angelpnut).
I'm Christian and go to Calvary Chapel Solano in Fairfield, CA.
The 'RDP' in RDP Streamline Solutions stands for:
My ideal customers would be Small-to-Midsize Business Owners, Mom & Pop shops, or Executives and CFO's that have ideas on how to optimize, streamline, or add value to their already successful business models. I would also like to attact other Business Intelligence developers/engineers that have experience with SQL Server, Oracle, SAP, Crystal Reports, or any of the numerous Accounting Software platforms out there.
There are lots of Microsoft Gold Partners out there that may be competition, but that have revenue minimums which means they're going to try to sell you something. My goal is to stay small and intimate so my customers know that I am competitively priced and will not sell them expensive Enterprise software or piece-mealed software that doesn't work well together. I plan on partnering with customers to come up with Business Solutions rather than doing the IT standard "Needs Assessment."
Eventually, my goal is to get to the point where I know what Accounting Software fits a potential customer based on their industry. At the very least while I'm still new to this, I'm going to be learning as much as I can from potential customers as far as their needs, their wants, and what gets them excited from a technology standpoint. That's where I can insert myself and add value.
I'd like a logo that has an icon image to the left, top, or right of the text. I'd like to be able to use this logo by itself to create a favicon for my website or even do something creative on my site like my friend did on her site: http://www.damronmarketing.com.
A partner of mine created the logo attached which I think is a good start, but I need something with more shine and 3D effect as in the Meebo logo. I think it also needs accent color.
