Lefthand Back and Body
My wife and I are both uneducated in the design field, so please excuse our pedestrian descriptions. The brand name Lefthand stems from location in Longmont, Colorado where there is a Lefthand canyon, Lefthand brewery, etc. However, my wife and I are both left handed, which adds a bit more emphasis to our brand. We are 30ish health professionals, who both have an avid interest in the outdoors. We are a holistic health clinic, which means we want to help our patients not only get out of pain but figure out the cause of the pain and treat that as well. Diet will play an important role in all of our patients' treatment because we strongly believe the saying "you are what you eat"!. As for the acupuncture, my wife and I are both working towards getting our certification but we don't do acupuncture ourselves at this point. We have an acupuncturist who will be working with us 2 days a week, and massage available by request.
I want to have my patient base be fairly young (20-50 year-olds) who are physically active, especially with cycling. I also strive to work with the Latino population in our community. I strive to have the brand "pop" so when people see a bumper sticker, sign, ad, etc they immediately think of a professional, broad based, caring clinic.
My wife wants to focus mainly on women, preferably 20-60 year-olds but she'll work with women of all ages, including children .
In general, our practice will attract young families who are proactive about their health and are looking for more than just a quick fix. We incorporate blood testing and use herbs, vitamins, and whole foods to treat illness instead of pharmacology.
We are pretty open to your collective creative genius. However, we would like to see chiropractic, acupuncture and nutrition somewhere on the logo. we are not opposed to using a left hand in the logo, but be aware that lefthand brewery has a logo which is a red left handprint. We have considered mountains in the logo, a radiographic left hand, acupuncture meridans left hand, and vitruvian man. But as I said, be creative! We like cool colors (blues and greens) but don't let that prevent you getting color creative. We want to put this logo on t-shirts, polo's and on the uniforms our cycling team will wear.
Good luck, and don't hesitate to ask questions.
