A logo for the blogocrats

I run a political/human-rights/geek blog using joomla. We average around 100 unique visitors per day, with around 600 page hits per day.

It is a non-comerical website, where there is a strong community feeling.

For the website banner and for use on business cards, stickers etc.

The simple logo requirements are:

- for display on the web as the banner we need a 350 * 80 pixel transparent GIF
- scalable high-resolution image
- the ability to scale to use on business cards, stickers etc
- the logo should contain the full web address (http://www.blogocrats.com)
- one or two colours

Note the the colour of the current website template is not fixed and can be changed to match the logo.

The idea I had was to use the O's in blogocrats as enquiring/inquisitive eyes but this is not important. Other ideas include:

- using the Southern Cross
- using some other unique Australian images
- breaking the words in the logo, for example, blogo crats, blog o crats etc

Update: I think that more block letters might be better for what I am aiming for (but the designs so far have me blown away!)
