I'm a so-called mom-preneur (with an MBA in entrepreneurship) who recently found her house (after 2 kids) cluttered with plastic toys most of which I had no idea how they were helping my child grow. Hence, an idea was born..
The idea is an educational toy rental company (think the Netflix of toys). We will work with experts to design a combination of toys every month to help your child hit the relevant milestones. You get your box with the toys and developmental information, play for a month and send them back in the same box with an included shipping label. Then we clean the items, shrink wrap them and send the tox box to the next family.
The kids get variety, parents get to declutter the house, and everyone gets educated!
We are fun & playful... but serious about education!
1. The stay-at-home mother who wants to learn more about her children’s development and craves more variety in play activities.
2. The working mom who doesn’t have time to go shopping and wants a convenient and direct method for working with her children when she is home.
3. Any parent that is tired of accumulating toys that their child hardly plays with and wants an eco-friendly solution.
Please read the 2-pager that I have attached with samples of what I like and don't like. It summarizes the business, what the logo should say and samples of what I like (and don't like).
The biggest hurdle we are going to have is the "ick" factor (even though the toys will be cleaned with the same methods as daycares) so having a clean and elegant logo is a must!
Oh, and the tagline will probably be something like - "Get educated about play!"
