Power Shopping
BACKGROUND
Brazilian Land (“BL”) is a real estate development company based in Sao Paulo Brazil. BL has identified a gap in the market to develop Power Centers as they known in the US or Retail Parks as they are known in Europe, throughout Brazil.
WHAT IS A POWER CENTER/RETAIL PARK
It is a development of free standing or attached “big boxes”, typically constructed of warehouse type construction, which are rented or sold to such tenants/occupiers as hypermarket chains, DIY stores, white goods and domestic appliance retailers, electronics, furniture, etc..
There will typically be lots of surface car parking (typically a Power Center site will be covered 25% by the building footprint and the rest by parking and circulation space. An example of a Power Centre is attached
CURRENT COMPETITORS TO POWER CENTERS
Typically the occupiers/tenants that would usually lease or own such space occupy standalone units with their own independent car parking. As of today, there are neither any Power Centers in Brazil nor any developers building Power Centers.
The targeted customer profile is the “C, D and E” socio economic groups in Brazil, where A is the luxury end of the market and E is the lowest end of the market. This is the fastest growing market segment in Brazil.
The logo should be a simple but highly recognisable image that can be applied to Power Centers to be developed throughout Brazil. That is to say that every time a POWER SHOPPING development is developed and opened, the name of the city or town where it is located can be applied to the main logo.
The logo I am looking for is a weightlifter either semi bending or straight holding a weight which has a shopping bag on each end instead of weights. Below or incorporated with the image should be the words POWER SHOPPING and then the city name.
for colouring, use strong colours. you may incorporate the colours of the Brazilian Flag in the leotard that the weightlifter has or in the logo typeface or elsewhere.
The colour palette needs to be such that the letters/image can be seen from afar as these will typically be applied to a roadside signpost/signboard. They must be clear either in natural sunlight, cloudy light or indeed internally illuminated.
