We are launching a new fried chicken restaurant called "bird-n-bun" in Long Beach, CA. It is NOT a new nashville hot chicken spot :) We are focused on serving delicious, simple, and high quality buttermilk fried chicken sandwiches and tenders. What makes us the MOST unique is we are starting as a "Cloud" or "Virtual" kitchen, meaning we only sell our food through 3rd party food delivery apps like UberEATS, PostMates, and DoorDash. This model is awesome because it lets us focus on making the food and not all the other stuff involved with running a restaurant.
With regards to the brand identity, we are looking to convey our simplistic, high quality food focused approach. We are hoping to re-establish fast food as a more positive, delightful experience. We want to stay away from overly trendy ideas (i.e. we are not a Louisiana hot chicken spot, we aren't a small batch long line type of place) and want to create a fun and approachable brand. We are now starting to lean towards a more retro vibe, vintage fast food/chicken shack.
