Our business is about connecting construction workers with employers in an online marketplace. Both audiences should be attracted to the business - workers (looking for jobs) and general contractors (hiring for jobs).
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Skilled Laborer or Day Laborer. Day labor is work done where the worker is hired and paid one day at a time, a contractor working for a general contractor (typically to build a house/building/existing home renovation/road, etc). The day laborer pool in the United States has a large spanish-speaking population. The individual is typically skilled in one or more areas such as a painter, electrician, plumber, drywaller, framer, etc.
A 'skilled laborer' is typically not working just for a day, but is hired for a longer (weeks or months) job. But, they to do the same type of work as a day laborer.
General Contractors. A general contractor is a group or individual that contracts for the construction, renovation or demolition of a building, road or other structure.
Must use the words "Labor Junction".
Because some of the intended audience will not be English-speaking, the logo may try to convey the idea of connecting laborers to employers visually. Not required, but this is a good goal.
The logo will eventually be used to set the tone and icon design for the Labor Junction website.
The more clean and simple the better. Brightness, crispness combined with down-to-earth hard work is a possible perspective.
