"Point of Impact" is the name that we want to convey in the logo. As you can see from the attached logo of the parent company, we have what is referred to as the "DS Ball". It is the blue circle with DS in the center. If possible, we'd like the DS Ball to somehow be incorporated into the design, but it isn't required.
The types of community service projects that we do are varied. On one occasion, we might be providing a free taxi cab ride home from an event that serves alcohol. In another example, we are sponsoring a car-seat safety event where we provide tips and safety information to people in our community who travel in cars with children.
We also have staff members who have specific fundraising events, or even just awareness events that they participate in, and we want them to be able to work under this name and logo. For example, some of our staff members rescue injured dogs, while another runs in a marathon to help raise money for a local charity.
We want the logo to be fun and easily identifiable, while still maintaining a connection to the main company. That doesn't mean the logos need to look alike.
If you have questions, contact me and we can discuss details.
I run very active campaigns and provide lots of feedback. I'll only eliminate a design if it truly is off base, or if we (you and I) are working on another more current version of the same thing.
Thank you for reading this brief. Our program impacts hundreds of thousands of people every year, and we are hopeful that you can provide the winning logo that will be seen by so many people in Texas.
