Peregrine Energy is working with the City of Boston to help spread the word about Renew Boston - a new program that encourages and educates Boston residents and businesses to take steps to save energy - such as signing up for an intensive energy audit, improving building insulation, using more efficient lighting, etc.
The primary target is Boston residents - homeowners and renters. The secondary target is Boston business owners. We provide them with basic information on the web site about what energy efficiency programs are available in Boston. Generally, we're trying to convince them to take a first step - signing up for a intensive home or business energy audit.
The logo should include the name of the program "Renew Boston". The logo should optionally include the program tag line "Save Energy, Save Money"
The logo should let people know that Renew Boston is about energy, reducing energy usage, saving money, reducing pollution, creating jobs.
The logo should convey the concept of homes, buildings, reducing the energy use in buildings. The logo should appeal to everyone - busy working-class moderate-income homeowners and renters, as well as more affluent folks.
Remember that Boston is a great city, and emphasize that in your design!
The logo design should be clean and not cluttered.
The colors and fonts should be new and exciting, but professional too.
The tag line might change. So any fonts used for the tag line should be either publicly available or not too expensive to license.
The logo will primarily be used online, but we will also use it for printed materials. So we will need print and web versions, as well as source files.
