Twobackpackers.com documents the experiences of two individuals as they travel the world in a journey of discovery. This is not the typical gap year of backpacking after a recent college graduation. This is the journey of a couple that finished college years ago and have since spent most of their time and efforts becoming successful corporate professionals. However, for us, a successful career is only a small part of our personal satisfaction; it does not define us as individuals. We both find greater joy being outdoors, learning about the our world, and giving a helping hand. We embark on this journey to follow true passion and also contribute to create a better world.
First, we quit our jobs, then...
Our mission is to backpack in foreign lands in an effort to discover and validate our passions, step outside of our comfort zone, and grow as individuals. The plan is to begin in Central America, trek through South America and eventually head to Southeast Asia. Our hope is to learn about the history and culture of the people we meet and places we visit, make new friends, share exciting experiences, and give back to the world community.

A backpacker travels the world on a budget. They carry all their belongings on their back and usually stay in Hostels or with other people. It's important to know a backpacker doesn't just hike a mountain with walking sticks. A backpacker sees all various environments and usually isn't hiking a mountain top. It's more about visiting cultures etc.
