MaleStandard.com will re-define the standard for what men expect from a “MAN’s” Entertainment web-site. Our mission is to become the web’s leading AUTHORITY for MEN to gain credible/valuable information and knowledge on the topics that matter most to them.
We'd like to ask for your help in the of development our company logo. This logo will represent the cornerstone of our identity and be recognized as a core component of our overall brand development strategy.
Have you ever said to yourself, “I wish I’d of know then, what I know now!”? We have too. This site will help provide men the information they need/want to know, but are many times too proud or embarrased to ask.
A predominantly female writing staff will provide creative content that is fresh and original on topics such as: WOMEN, DATING, SEX, STYLE and ENTERTAINMENT. Industry experts will also provide content on such topics as MUSIC, AUTOS, SPORTS, GAMING, HEALTH, MONEY, TECHNOLOGY, etc….
Demographics: Men 90% / but also developed as a place where woman feel comfortable (not pornographic)
Primary Market Focus: National (United States)
Target Age: 21-34 / Median Age: 26
Marital Status: initially 90% single, with a slow and gradual shift towards 75% single (25% married)
Psychographics: Men that make up this segment tend to be very image/self-conscious. They care deeply about how they look and feel, as well as how they are perceived by others (especially by women). In fact, much of their time is spent trying to get laid.
Emotional Projection of Logo: Must project Confidence, Wisdom/Knowledge and Class. We want Men to connect and associate with the logo with the hope that it becomes a part of their personal brand/self-persona.
Emotional Projection of Site: VERY Sexy (but not trashy), Innovative, Credible, Social, Fresh, Fun and a “Cool” place/community to be a part of.
Competitive sites - These sites target similar demographics, but we have a well defined “Differentiation” strategy to set ourselves far apart from these:
Askmen.com, GQ.com, MensHealth.com, Esquire.com, Maxim.com, MadeMan.com (In other words, we don't wish to be a "me too")
The MaleStandard.com team is here for you! We will be very active in helping to support your creative development efforts and are committed to providing you timely feedback throughout the entire project! We want you to have FUN!
USES of LOGO:
Immediate – Website and Business cards
Secondary – Envelopes and Letterhead, Apparel, Stickers, etc…
Logo may designed as a Stand Alone or used in conjunction with an Icon. We are open to both options.
The “.com” should be included in the design, but should also be easily removed when/if not needed.
SITE/BRAND COLOR STRATEGY: The use of warm and rich shades of orange, along with black and grays. We are also using complementary colors to convey a warm and welcoming feeling. The logo does not need to be these colors, but should be designed to work in conjunction with them.
