It is important to convey that the storage industry is really all about trust. When someone purchases a storage system they're not just buying any piece of hardware, they're buying *the* piece of hardware that runs their business, their livelihood is held in that box. At OS NEXUS our systems employ technologies like data-checksums to verify the integrity of the data after writing it to the disk, and snapshot technologies that allow customers to rollback their systems to rapidly recover servers in the event of application failure, deleted files or other events. So we need a logo that's catching but also conveys the seriousness of what our customers are entrusting us with. The leaders in the storage space are companies like EMC, NetApp, HP, IBM, Hitachi, LSI and Sun Microsystems; in short, we're going after some heavy hitters here and we need great branding to do that.

We are developing products in the cloud computing space so our audience there is medium to large companies looking to deploy public and private storage clouds. Or initial product is an iSCSI storage system built on top of Linux called QuantaStor. QuantaStor allows organizations to convert any commodity server into a high-end iSCSI storage system. Our next product builds on top of the QuantaStor story by combining those systems into a massive grid. Think of a storage grid just as you would a power grid or any other utility. Users can tap into it to allocate storage to deploy to physical servers and virtual machines in the network. That product which manages the grid is called QuantaGrid, and it manages an entire cloud of storage systems through a centralized server and enables end-users to tap into it via a self-service management interface. QuantaGrid is targeted at the rapidly growing Infrastructure-as-a-Service IaaS space.
I took some time to develop the http://www.osnexus.com website and I'm happy with the logo there but it's only passable. I want a great logo that is bold in concept and yet simple and minimal. Please see the website at http://www.osnexus.com
