We're a new web media company focused on providing our audience with the most interesting ways to enjoy the great outdoors on the west coast. Whether it is the local park, the national park, the ocean, lake, and mountains we've got the inside story for you. Delivered fresh every day of the work week, we provide ideas for the products, people, and places to go in the outdoors. We're environmentally conscious of what we consume and do, but we also have fun and enjoy our back yard.
You find us at the ski hill in the winter, but you'll also find us on the ocean surfing in the winter as well. We're on your mountain bike trail, in your rivers and lakes and we're always looking for the next adventure. We wear Patagonia, we go to ski and surf shops, we've climbed mountains, rock climbed, and rappelled down into gorges.
We live in cities but we spend our weekends and evenings getting outside. We care about our environment because we're passionate about spending time in it.
We're not the X-games crowd, we're not completely roaming around the globe surfing or skiing on an endless winter or summer. That said, we've taken weeks or even months off to do it, and we'll do that again. We're a band of people who care about being outside, who care about our environment, who are passionate about being active in the outdoors both because we love the rush of what we do, but also because we love the outdoors.
We feel connected to nature, we sleep under the stars, we're comfortable on a mountain, in the ocean, on a glacier, or in a river. We shop at REI and Wholefoods.
We're interested in incorporating the domain name into the logo, as we believe it is a relevant component of the message of what we're about. In addition it is our belief that portraying imagery that is reflective of the outdoors is very important (examples would be: Mountain, Wave, Lake, River, Tree ) we're not interested in a "leaf" as a logo.
We're open to creativity, and would consider images that are reflective of specific sports that would be transferable to specific section or that rotate (examples would be: Skiing, mountain biking, surfing, running, hiking, climbing, etc....)
Examples of logo's that are aspirational are: patagonia.com, quiksilver.com, Lowe Alpine, Mountain Smith, Burton, etc...
