My partner and I have been working in the independent film business for decades and are starting a company to distribute independent films - we will do classical theatrical distribution, but also plan on experimenting with alternative distribution ideas on new digital platforms such as VoD, digital downloads, etc. We are determined to help find a solution in the troubled independent film distribution marketplace so independent filmmakers can continue to make films and have them distributed.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
independent film lovers - while this audience tends to be in 30's+, they can be of any age although they are most likely to be educated and discerning....and supporters of the arts.
The wikipedia definition of Red Flag is interesting: uses key words like "defiance" or a red flag was used to "incite" a crowd into action. Originally we thought of it because of tagging an important email....as if to say "if you look at any email, look at this one"....We don't even mind the communist heritage of the red flag (although we are not looking for strong Soviet realism iconography). We prefer something that is clean and crisp as the name suggests, yet suggest something active or "important".
Obviously, we want to stay away and actively lead our audience away from any negative connotations to red flag...such as "warnings".
