iPublishingPlatform is Community!
"The whole ibook/ebook stuff is useless as long as it does not allow open communities to be created around specific books or group of books."
iPublishingPlatform is solution to this problem.
Our Publishing Platform has 2 components: an ebook-reader/audio book player (the Community Reader) and a website ( the Publisher Portal ) where the publisher (author) can post books and articles for their reading community. The reading community can comment, discuss, ask questions, review and recommend and maybe even amend. Where the Stanza ebook reader is an ocean of content, the Community Reader is a coral reef environment.
The Publisher's Platform is a web site
The Community Reader is an iPhone/iPad app.
The iPublishingPlatform is the concept of giving the author a web based portal to publish content to their community on the iPhone/iPad platform.
We require a logo for iPublishingPlatform, a visual statement where the *book* is the subject and *community* is the predicate.
Self publishing, speaking authors; professional public speakers, who personally meet many of the people who read their books, and have an interest in building on that relationship.
These tend to be authors who are dedicated to providing information and insight into a specialized area: motivational, self-help, financial advice, how-to, home economics, public policy, political organizing, social action, etc.
We need the image of a book, with a community of readers. Perhaps the community of readers as fish, a school of fish around a book....
