The women's fellowship and service religious organization (Sisterhood) of our Messianic Congregation in Macon, Georgia, and which is named after the Hebrew words which mean in English "heart of Ruth."
Would like to include perhaps one of the following symbols: seven branch menorah, star of David, olive tree
Our group is made up of only women, but they range in age from mid-twenties to seventies and older. They are of varied educational levels, from doctors to those with only a high school degree. We would like to base our organization upon Proverbs 31 from the Bible (otherwise known as A Woman of Valor).
Lev Shel Ruti is a transliteration of the Hebrew words meaning Heart of Ruth in English. Ruth was the first convert to Judaism in the Bible. She is the woman who said to her Jewish mother-in-law, Naomi, "Your people shall be my people and your God shall be my God." This is a very important theme in our organization.
