NO. No slogan.(I am very sorry..All of the info. that follows here should have been written in the next box. I am very sorry.)I am transitioning from a medical practice ,"VeinCare of Central North Carolina", which I opened in 2003, am the sole owner, the sole health care provider and the Medical Director. Over the last 16 years we have only provided treatment for patients with varicose veins, their complications, and spider veins. We have done only that. Because medicine has changed drastically, the practice has gone steadily downhill such that we are barely breaking even and spend more time on the phone with insurance companies than treating patients (not an exaggeration). Eighteen months ago I decided to add some aesthetic options (body sculpting) to try to supplement my income. But because it was simply a machine in a room, it just sat there because one piece of equipment does not offer a lot to patients and we were not doing anything to promote it. Since then, I have gradually embraced the fact that we needed to dive into the water of aesthetics, that dipping our toes was not working. The tricky aspect of this change is that we need to and want to continue to treat patients with vein problems. But we have since added 3 machines which have been a game changer as we learn to combine them and get great results. Our latest machine works on skin resurfacing of the face, evens the texture and pigment of the skin on the face and removes fine lines and wrinkles. So we are now doing body sculpting (to speak in the vernacular) of several problem areas: "muffin tops", "back fat", "Mommy tummy/pooch", "turkey neck", "droopy arms" (triceps), inner and outer thighs, inner knees, stretch marks, cellulite, hyperhydrosis (a medical condition in which the sweat glands are overactive causing excessive sweating of the armpits, hands and feet. We do not do facials or the typical spa type treatments. We are NOT a MedSpa. That is why we chose to name ourselves Swan Medical Aesthetics(although I still worry that aesthetics will make people think of a medspa. Swan is my maiden name. I love the idea of our logo being a swan which is beautiful, graceful , elegant and sleek. sorry continued below.
