We are a crop and hog farm in Alberta, Canada. Crops we grow are primarily wheat and canola - no corn like U.S. farms. But we want a clean, sleek, modern-looking logo - please do not give us cheesy things. We'd like to incorporate an outline concept - please the logo for Manitoba Pork (manitobapork.com) with a partial outline of a hog and partial outline only of wheat. We like the Manitoba Pork logo, but obviously don't want it to look too much like it - so please make it similar in concept but different. Target audience is primarily individual landowners for renting their land, but also institutional landowners who own land for investment purposes.
I've seen some of the submissions for other farms and some of them are really bad, with rows of corn stalks and stereotypical concepts. We want something that is different, modern, professional, clean, simple, sleek. As for colors, I mentioned before that we use a shade of teal now, not sure what other colors to use, but definitely not yellow or brown - we don't want typical agriculture colors, we are going for differentiation. the teal we use is not a typical ag color of green so be sure it is not green, but teal. I have a sketch of a concept attached. We may not want to include the "Est. 1937" just so we can keep it clean and sleek. See what you can do with and without it. We also like the logo for gouldfarm.com which incorporates a pig tail and soy bean leaf. It is also clean/simple.
