I am an entrepreneur with the right idea, at the right time, and with the right technical support and financing. I have been developing web and internet based projects for others since 1996, now it's my turn. I am an expert in SEO and SEM as well as an innovator of online applications, marketing components, and user friendly systems. I started Slideplan because it is my dream to bring to life a useful online service that hits it big, in other words, generates a community of users that appreciate it. Plus I really need to be able to tell my wife “I told you so”! I currently live in the Canary Islands although I from Vancouver, USA right across the river from Portland Oregon. So I have a ton of friends that work at Intel. No doubt some of them will be coming to work for me soon enough. My associates in the technical side of this project are German by we get by just fine in English. I like working with the Germans because they are great business people, very professional. The Canary Island are a part of Spain, and I also work with some great Spaniards. From them I learn to enjoy life and remember what’s important – Family. I want the founders of Slideplan to be a family, so if you looking for an adventure join us!
Slideplan audience will be very diverse. It’s a service for everyone; however, it will be best suited for people that like to use smart phones, tablets, iPads. It’s especially suited for people that like to generate content and share that content either via the web or mobile apps. The language of the user won’t matter because they will be using the service to make their own content, and the software involved doesn’t require much verbal cues in order to use it. Think students, business people, travelers that like to go digital, that is, that are tired of printing stuff and carrying it along with them.
We need the first impression! We need the look that says who we are. We need simple and elegant. We would like the creative to represent the innovation of the service which is directly related to “capturing” pixels. I thought of a butterfly net coming down on a butterfly made of primary pixels.. I also thought of a net capturing one of the letters in the company’s name: ‘Slideplan’. We are looking for the logo that goes at the top right of the homepage of our website plus the little round cornered square that represents a mobile app. In other words, we want to brand Slideplan. In the logo the text must be read well i.e. at a glance the user understands that we are “Slideplan”, having said that it’s possible that the creative changes the font colors such as YouTube does with it’s logo (or not). There are three parts to the services: a Slideplan creator, Slideplan viewer, and the Slideplan network that allows the user to transfer the Slideplans around the digital world, be it other PCs, iPhones, Androids devices, and etc. We want something that speaks of the digital world, the one that’s soon to supplement our future. Our service with help guide and plan that future and we need an image that speaks to that.
