I am a lawyer who has just left a nationwide plaintiffs' firm to open a solo practice. I am licensed in 5 states (NM, TX, LA, AR and TN) I exclusively represent plaintiffs. Primarily in Texas and New Mexico. I represent families in nursing home abuse cases, people injured in motor vehicle accidents, lots of motorcycle riders, you can check out my MC website for insight http://www.justiceforriders.com. I spent 11 years in law enforcement before going to law school, and that plays a big role in who I am and why I do what I do. I truly believe that my job is to seek justice.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
My logo should do a couple of things, first it should be something that impresses other lawyers. Second, I don't know that any logo will make someone choose me, but I do believe the wrong logo can turn clients away. I also don't want a logo that makes me look just like a solo office.
UPDATE..... Everyone I have shown the logos to has told me I need to lose the "The". Although that is my registered name I tend to agree. If you have a design and I have ranked it with 4 or 5 stars, you don't have to change it, but know that my final winner will read:
Sorey Law Firm P.L.L.C. Thank you and across the board GREAT work!
I do like the scales of justice, but they are absolutely NOT a prerequisite.
I do NOT want a logo that only emphasizes one practice area, I already have a motor cycle logo I like. This logo should be one that says this is a serious law firm. I am really open to the designers creativity. Colors I tend to like are black/gold and royal blue in combination with black or white.
