I am an X professional cyclist, and my wife was a competitive paddler. We also both continue to enjoy these activities along with nordic skiing. We know clothing very well, have been involved in the manufacturing for many years- and know the fit and fabrics best suited for given applications. A few years ago, we launched our custom clothing business, building a dedicated following of clients that recognize our attention to detail - and commitment to creating the best possible sport specific clothing.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Our target audience typically find us online - when searching for custom clothing, or via word of mouth, from other teams that have ordered and used out clothing in the past. Or customers range from youth teams from 8 years of age to masters enthusiasts in their 70's. They are often looking for an alternative - and are more concerned with quality, graphics and delivery than pricing.
We are also developing a line of clothes, based on the custom program, but aimed at retailers. All the branding will remain the same - with the possiblity of adding sub-brands, such as the "Elite" product line (example only).
Cycling has been called the NEW GOLF. With the popularity of various charity rides and gran fondo marathons, the demographic has grown to include affluent, middle aged men and women, who in previous generations may have chosen golf over cycling. Some of our other customers are elite high peformance racers. The paddling crowd is more recreational, with a larger % of females.
We have developed the HaymanSport Logo (font) and wish to stay with this (attached). We brand our products with our company name in several locations on each garment – and would like to sometimes use the ICON without the HaymanSport font.
-We are looking for a distinct, classy icon (our own swoosh) to compliment our haymansport font (attached).
-One possibility to to create movement or speed with the icon.
• The Font and Icon must work in a variety of colors, as we adapt the colour sometimes to work best with the client’s logo
• Complex gradients or fades can be challenging to recreate in sublimation – and should therefore be avoided
• The Icon should look good when printed at approx 2” (usually works best if it is wider than it is high – fits better into collars etc)
- The icon must not be specific to any one sporting activity (such as using a paddle or wheel)
-The Icon should work with or without the HaymanSport Font.
- Graphics must be Vector (eps or ai)
-We have been trying the attached "sphere". But not sure if it works with our font. Feel free to modify (or reject).
