The Wildlife Society
The Wildlife Society, founded in 1937, is a professional international non-profit scientific and educational association dedicated to excellence in wildlife stewardship through science and education. Every year, we host a large conference in a different location for members to share research and information to other wildlife professionals. This year, the conference will be held in Snowbird, Utah.
Members are typically wildlife biologists, ecologists, and natural resource specialists from around the world. Every year, the location of the conference changes and lapel pens and other mechandise are developed with a new logo that represents the area and/or wildlife located near the conference location. There is approximately 1200 to 2000 members expected to attend.
We are looking for a logo that represents Utah and the local wildlife. We would like the logo to incorporate a mule deer or a rocky mountain elk and maybe even a pika with the deer or elk since those are the animals that are most abundant or represent Utah.
You can be creative with background with possible things in Utah or something simple without much of a background. The overall shape can be something other than the typical circle. Have fun with it.
Keep the design simple, and the graphics sharp. Use only 2, possibly 3 colors to reduce the cost of printing and merchandise. The logos will be reduced to a small size for lapel pins and name tags, etc. and needs to still be clearly visible and reproduce clearly.
Somewhere on the logo, it needs to say: The Wildlife Society
Somewhere on the logo, it needs to say: Snowbird
Somewhere on the logo, it needs to say: 2010
We will need a color-seperated file and the PMS colors used. The format we need is an illustrator, or compatible drawing program, EPS file.
You are welcome to check out the following website to get more information about The Wildlife Society. If you look under conferences, then past conferences, you will be able to see a few of the previous logos.
